Michael Ziehl

Michael Ziehl ist Doktor der Philosophie, Diplom-Ingenieur der Architektur und Master of Science der Stadtplanung. Er arbeitet freiberuflich als Urbanist und Stadtforscher und betreibt von Hamburg aus Urban Upcycling – Agentur für städtische Ressourcen. Er hat die Gängeviertel Genossenschaft 2010 eG mit gegründet und war acht Jahre lang in dessen Aufsichtsrat tätig. Promoviert hat er an der HafenCity Universität Hamburg zur Koproduktion Urbaner Resilienz.

Whether artistic or creative work, social or socio-political involvement - as a society we need cheap, accessible and appropriable spaces to experiment, network and act together. But how can such hybrid spaces be created and preserved today? urbanize! welcomes international and local researchers and practitioners to present their good practice, share their experiences and discuss open questions.
